about

The name's Bethany Laurel Elanessea. I am 18 years old and was born in Florida but grew up in Sweden. I love to make people laugh to the extent of making myself look stupid! But it's all for a good cause right? I love videography, photography, music, learning languages, travelling, playing the keyboard, guitar & drums as well as singing random songs no matter how it sounds. ^^ It's all about making life worth living.

Welcome

Welcome to Elanessea's Haven, my personal get-away and gateway to other sites owned by me and others. Make sure you check out my videos, photos, music, blog, youtube, fanlistings collective and livejournal! :D I also have a Lord of the Rings fan site that doesn't have a list of fans; however, it has a lot of fun facts and downloads for whoever wishes to check it out.

* Write something nice on the tag board on the right and I swear I will love you forever. :) *

Letter In a Bottle

Alright, so, moving on to things you might or might not know about me:

My name is Bethany Laurel and I am 18 years old. I currently attend Georgia State University, and I am planning on majoring in Nursing (although my true passion lies in film). The classes I am taking right now have nothing to do with my major, other than advanced Chemistry, but oh well. I'm sure it'll only get better (and harder lol!).

I was born in Tallahassee, Florida, but at the age of eight, I moved to a town in Northern Sweden with my mom. I remained there for two years, and then moved down to the suburbs of Stockholm and remained there for another four years before moving back to the US. I learned Swedish fluently within the first six months of living in the country (learn it, it's great!) which was soon followed by a lot of Japanese, which I learned at a Japanese Saturday school, and French, which I started in sixth grade. I continued French all the way until eleventh grade, when I started taking Spanish. As far as I am concerned, I am going to be multi-lingual before my life is over. Just watch. :D

I've been through a lot (who hasn't?), which I'm not going to write about in detail on here, but I can tell you this: If you have had family problems to the point to where you once didn't even believe in yourself, or if you gained and lost love in the most emotionally scarring rollercoaster ride you can ever imagine, then I can relate and I want you to know that you are not alone. :) I know everyone says this, but ever since I was a kid, I've wanted to change the world, one step at a time. I know life is amazing, but at the same time it can be rather difficult, so the least I want to do is to try to make people smile. You'd be suprised what smiling toward people does. It is contagious. Smile at them, and 99% of the time, they will smile back, and who knows, you might've made their day a tad better? I know I have had days when all I needed was proof that there is good in this world, and when somebody smiled at me, I instantly felt alive again. Anyway, I'm a nice person sure, but don't mess with me. I will throw cookies at you or something.

Anyway, back to the basics: I like the simple things in life, such as meeting new people, going new places, talking, making music and videos, messing aroudn with photoshop, driving around blasting music, writing blogs, drinking Starbuck's Coffee, and just simply enjoying life. Last but not least, I will openly and honestly admit that I am obsessed with South Park and have been almost my whole life. I absolutely love it.

SWEDEN

GO THERE. It is beautiful. It's freaking cold most of the year, but the summers are beautiful and the weather is absolutely splendid. Seriously, you cannot wish for a better place to go on vacation during the warmer months of the year. If you spend the summer months in Northern Sweden, you will notice that the sun goes down at 2am, but barely even touches the horizon before it rises again. On the downside (for you guys), most girls are not Pamela Anderson replicas. That's just how it is; however, the people are usually really friendly, save some teenage girls I've met who live, breathe and FEED off of drama (just being honest - if you go there, heed my warning).
